Started Atkins 6/1/03
Hi:
I justed started and I'm having a little trouble getting used to it. I bought and read Dr. Atkins book. I would like to to do the Atkins for life, but I don't want it to cost an arm and a leg. I need to buy some cookbooks. I have a family of seven, so I have to please everybody, especially the man of the house. So does anybody recommend a cookbook that is low carb., but doesn't skip on taste? Thank you for your time, Sarah :daze: |
Sorry, I don't know any cookbooks but check out the receipe section on this site.

There are lc cookbooks out there - I'd run to the library if I were you.
I have 2 kids and I've found that generally we can share the main dish and only the sides differ. (throw in a baked potato for them, salad for me) Good luck! |
Sarah, Hi and Welcome! To save money, I go to the recipe section here and copy all the ones that appeal to me and my family, I put them in a binder and it works perfect! Don't spend the money on a cookbook! Good Luck !!!

Thanks
Thank you for the info.
I haven't used a cookbook for any thing in years, but now that I started Atkins, I can't come up with any thing for breakfast besides eggs, sausage and bacon. And I have a hard time figuring out what side to have with dinner. Personally I don't like having the same thing day after day. But, I will if that’s what it takes! Sarah ;) |
