Newbie Introduction

 Wanted to stop in and introduce myself. My husband and I started induction 5/27. We seem to be doing pretty good so far-day 3 was rough for me as far as how I felt. At the present, we are both feeling a bit better than we've felt in ages. I've been lurking, reading others experiences and printing out recipes so that we won't feel bored with the basics.

I am a carb and caffiene junkie-still drinking my diet coke-but I have included water into my daily diet which I never drank before. Right now-my main worries are weaning myself from caffiene, PMS sweets/chocolate cravings and learning how to balance my intake.

Thanks for such a great forum!

Hi Shelley OH...

welcome to the forum, and to induction!
I understand how you are feeling.. I am on induction again for the second time.. I first did it last year and lost 10 pounds in 4 weeks...

one thing to becareful of though..... you are not supposed to be drinking Diet Coke.. this could prevent you from getting into ketosis.... the thing about induction is it not only gets you into ketosis if you follow it closely, but it also helps to curb cravings you have.. sounds like you have a real sugar craving with the Diet Coke.. (I'm not judging you.. just trying to help here).... can you try to kick the Diet Coke and replace it with Club Soda.. try to go sugar free for a while and see if you feel any better.

Good luck!!

cheers,
j
