I've got problems,help!

I was doing really well, then a series of events has knocked me off diet and definetly out of ketosis. It first started at my mother-in law's house. She is so wonderful, she cooked dinner for my husband and I. She is indian so everything was carbs-potatoes, rice, carrots in yogurt. I was in the zone totally so I turned her down on eating any of this food. Ok challenge #1 passed, but I felt horrible at possibly insulting her. (she wasn't, but I still felt bad). challenge #2 my husband and I went away this weekend for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We stayed at a bed-n-breakfast, I was not so successful at turning down the homemade breakfast, that was of course LOADED with carbs. I did however turn down the homemade sticky buns. So here I am defintely cheated, definetly back to square 1.Help! This is definetly a pattern starting to appear.

we are all in the right place

Heh...it's a tough goal after years of bad habbits. These habbits we developed a long time ago, be kind to yourself. I try to talk to myself as I would talk to a friend, nicely. You are right on track and will succeed. I know that for me eventually this food plan will be my habbit and I will just know how to pick myself up after haveing a higher carb meal. It is always progress, not perfection. You go girl!

I am staying away from restaurants and family dinners until my new low carbing has set in but good. I am cooking every meal at home at least for the next month so I can be strong and determined when I go out to eat and I won't have any cravings for carbs. Kinda like quitting smoking, stay away from smokers for a while.

Don't beat yourself up too bad - that's totally counterproductive.

Admit you made a mistake (and not a HUGE one).
Learn from it what you can.
Move on.

A year from now you won't be able to detect the influence of an occasional weak moment - it's the pattern that counts. So focus on learning what you can to avoid it truly becoming a pattern.

Keep the Faith!

thanks, I needed that

thank you everyone for the encouragement. I'm getting ready to go the gym. I'm up 1.5lbs (sure goes on faster than it comes off), but I'll try to sweat it off. Started back on strict induction again.
