Russell Stover Low Carb Candy

Saw recently someone comment about Russell Stover Low Carb Mints. Drove by one of their plants and went into the outlet store and bought some. Mints say "CARBS PER PIECE* "! With the * saying Net Effective Carbs. Ingrediitents include: Total Carbs - 19g (Fiber<1g 4%), Sugar Alcohol 17g. I had one package of 2 yesterday and my strips actually went darker last night. What does the ingredients mean? They were great but very expensive ($1.75 for 2 patties). Bought the Low Carb Solid Milk Chocolate (0.2 Carbs per piece) and also Truffle Cups (0.2 carbs each). Everything very $$ but maybe will come down if sales increase. What do you think?

I am not sure where I stand on these yet. Some people are effected by the sugar alcohols and some are not. All I know is they are sure tasty! I buy them in the grocery store, and they aren't that pricey. Maybe the outlet store is just higher priced?
