How many carbs in sashimi?

Does anyone know how many carbs are in sashimi (just the raw fish)?

I am going to lunch at a Japanese place and thought I could order their sashimi plate.

Thanks

well, sashimi it sliced raw fish..pure protein, so it should be ZERO.
Try it with ponzu and wasabi mixed instead of soy sauce, I love it like that. Sushi is my all time favorite...it's hard for me to go though because I get sucked into having nigiri and rolls....and usually a Yebisu, too. (japanese beer)
Eat up and have a great lunch!!!

I eat japanese at least once a week.. always sashimi. There's zero carbs, but the soy sauce contains about 1g per tbsp. I still use the stuff (low sodium), it doesn't taste good without it. I also order the chicken wings which have a very light coating of flour.. so I figure in a couple more carbs for that.

The soy is one source of carbs - I also like the wasabi. I just checked it out on dietsite.com - 1/4 cup of shredded wasabi root has 8 grams of carbs. Now 1/4 cup of wasabi would probably KILL most people - I use a tablespoon at most and usually less. I'm glad I looked - this is another pretty acceptable food! I'm glad because I stuffed myself on sashimi the other night! YUM!

I'm not sure you can equate 1/4 cup of shredded wasabi root with the powdered green stuff they mix with water at most Sushi restaurants. That stuff also has cornstartch and sometimes powdered mustard in it, so be careful. Fresh grated wasabi root is pretty hard to find in may Sushi joints, at least that's been my experience.
