What goal?

Interesting thread.
I used to notice that too and wonder who all these people were on this site, many discussing and advising, but they themselves were so far from their goal.. it used to worry me...
However, after LCing since Nov. 9, I have lost 38 pounds steadily (usual ups and downs). I eat more than many as I don't want to think of this as a deprivation "diet". I still have 32 pounds to go before my technical wieght loss "goal".
Yet, I realized recently that in an even more critical way I HAVE MET MY GOAL AND SURPASSED IT!!!!! I feel great!!!!! I wear a 14 pants from the regular womens dept. instead of a 2X. My blood work is fantastic and my cholesterol went down 75 points. I am no longer on the DIRECT path to diabetis. I no longer CONSTANTLY feel terrorized about my out of control weight problem and what I would do?? or couldn't do to get a grip on it. I am no longer the least bit ashamed of myself. I am not treated as an invisible, or worse dispicable fat person by others (even unintentionally), I am SO HAPPY, about the weight loss, of course, but even deeper about the FACT that I have found a way to eat which makes me normal, healthy and so much more fit. I am joyous about it all and truely believe that for ME (and everyone is different) if I hadn't of found this WOE I would have been consumed by dispair and illness on the path I was going. I could no longer do all the outdoor and family things I had and loved to do it.
So for me, if you look at my stats, no I have not yet reached my weight goal, but I have reached a level of self love and pride and relief that I didn't even relize I needed even more.
I agree, the nature of this forum is for those still working at losing the weight. When I hit goal weight, I bet I will look elsewhere also for support to maintain and increase foods but not go back over into my blood sugar nightmare.
Now, when I read peoples posts or look at their stats here I know they are also longing for and experienceing things well beyond their numeric weight loss.
Hope this info helps you sort out info on "goal", who people are on this site and feel a bit encouraged about some of the less than dramatic stats at times.
Keep up the good questioning and searching what is the way for you.
Cheers,
