Beware of JNB tacos!!!!
I am so mad! I had 2 jack in the box tacos for lunch, without the shell just the meat and lettuce, no taco sauce. I came home and was going to input it in my fitday and my DH sayd that the tacos have beans in them!!! I never tasted any beans but he says they mix it up with the beef so it makes kinda like a beefy mixture. I am sooo PO'd!! Sorry just had to vent. It is awful when you cheat and dont even mean to.!!!  :help: :tears:

Does JNB mean Jack in the Box? If so, they don't have beans in their tacos. Here's a list of the ingredients in their tacos:
Taco taco taco sauce shredded lettuce American cheese This is from their website. No beans. Here's the link: http://www.jackinthebox.com/ourfood/howsitstacked.php Pam |
That doesn't seem right. Where is the meat in your list of ingredients?

Okay, I went to JNB's website and here is the list of ingredients:

Yes JNB is Jack in the box. Thank you guys. I don't know why I did not think to check their website. It seems like there are some bad things in there for you but no beans. I guess it was not too terrible.

I wouldn't stress too much about beans being in tacos, the amount that is mixed into a premade taco would be 1tbsp or less and that would be around 2.3g effective for refried beans (from Fitday), beans are moderately high in carbs but have also got a reasonable amount of fibre in them, unless you are in induction where you stay off the beans they are a great addition to a diet.
I add kidney beans to my chilli con carne, it ups the carbs a bit (1 cup has 39.94g carbs but 16.38g fibre making it 23.56g effective for a cup - my chilli con carne makes 8-10 servings so that adds about 2.9 - 2.3g carbs to each meal) In my book they are a great food if you have the carb allowance available.... :D Fiona :D |
Beans may not be directly listed as an ingredient in those tacos, but all these ingredients come from soybeans
Texturized vegetable protein (TVP) soy grits hydrolyzed soy protein (a.k.a. MSG) hydrolyzed soy (a.k.a. MSG) All these come from corn: corn protein corn syrup dextrose caramel color (sometimes from corn) Wheat products: wheat flour wheat protein And anything underlined in the ingredients listed above and below are SUGARS molasses and sugar From the looks of it...those tacos are loaded with carbs even without the shells. It just goes to show you how carbs have creeped into our diets. Fast foods are addictive, and the "drugs" they use to hook us are CARBOHYDRATES. |
