Fajitas from mexican restaurant bad???

I had some chicken/beef combo fajitas tonight at a mexican restaurant-Did I totally blow it or are they ok for Atkins 'Induction?? I had no tortillas-just sour cream and guacamole
IF they are ok how do I count the carbs for it-all the ingredients individually or what??

By the way this website has been a GREAT encouragment to me -I tried Atkins 4 weeks ago and went 2 days and quit
This time I have been on it for 3 days total and I feel great and have not cheated once or wanted too -(unless the fajitas blew it for me!!)

I have lost 4 lbs in 3 days and I am more encouraged then ever!!

Thanks for all the great posts of encouragement I have read-They do a world of good!!!

the fajitas should be fine...hope you didn't load up on too many onions! They tend to have alot of carbs....as for the guac..I am thinking that is not allowed on induction? ! But, you know...I wouldn't say you "blew" it.

The onions were maybe 4 small pieces and the guac was maybe a TBLSP

I think you did fine on Induction if you ate the guacamole & fajitas. (no tortillas & no chips)
Atkins allows extra "special foods" every day and 2 of the 4 ingredients in guacamole are in this catagory. 1/2 avacado & lemon juice. Add a tiny bit of tomato (less than a slice for a serving) as well as a tiny amount of garlic and you have guacamole. Both tomato & garlic are on the acceptable list for Induction. I advise you to get Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution or go to the website. They both have lists of acceptable foods for each phase.

I only stayed on Induction for a week ( though I tried for 2 weeks) but I added nuts after the first week so technically Induction for me only lasted a week.(though I kept my carbs below 20 for 3 weeks) I figured that a week of Induction was good since I was in ketosis and if I didnt have more than the strictest level of Atkins I probably wouldnt keep on with it. I figured I'd rather lose slowly than not to lose at all.

Good luck & keep on keeping on.
