Ab excersises

I was wondering if it is ok to do ab excersises when you still have weight to lose in your stomach? Or will it just make your stomach bigger?

Won't make your stomach bigger or necessarily smaller. It's impossible to spot reduce any area but you can certainly tone. I highly recommend it!

I work that area like there is no tomorrow and that's where I have the most fat right now (although it is getting smaller...lol)! I figure that once the fat is gone, I'll have some nice abs and in the meantime, while the fat is there...it doesn't really matter what it looks like. Nothing can make fat look better and since building muscle speeds up the metabolism burning fat faster...I say go for it :)

Just don't forget the cardio in addition to working on those abs. :)

As long as you don't go nutsy - - I do crunches and reverse crunches and various other waist/abdomen exercises because that is my problem area....no gain in inches thus far and been doing it for 6 weeks now and this is on top of going to CURVES 4X a week.

Working your abs is never a bad thing, try and do about 8-10 min 3x week. When all the fat is gone under the abdominals, you will be nice and toned! Plus, having more muscel makes you burn more fat. try pilates, it is a good way to tone not only your abs, but help posture (we can all use a little posture help-it makes you look smaller!)
