Carb counting question -- dealing with fiber
 

When counting carbs, do I also count fiber? For instance if a product has 18 carbs and 3 fiber -- does that = 15 carbs or 18 carbs....I am still trying make sure I am doing this whole "math" thing right. I just want to know that I am doing this correctly.

I am pretty sure that Schwarzbein does NOT subtract the fiber grams from carb grams to get net carbs (like Atkins). TSP doesn't count the carbs in veggies (like Atkins) so it all evens out.

I never subtract the fiber grams and just go by the number of carbs listed. Hope this helps! Rose
