Starting over after break...need motivation to kick food boredom

Hi all,

Just saying "hi" and thanks to all who keep this site going. I love it!! and I still have tons to read. I had previously been on the Atkins diet and had lost about 10 pounds and felt great. Well, after the birth of my son, I am still fighting to get back into a healthier life and back into shape.

I loved the Atkins diet but I found that to control the carbohydrate numbers I was eating basically the same foods all the time. Plain meat, eggs, cheese and lettuce salads. Any ideas on how to keep easier track without eating the same things all the time.

All help and motivation is GREATLY appreciated. I want to make it this time ;-) :daze:

Well reading others journals is really the way I learned.

I personally go through phases of favorites.

For ages I loved cut up red pepper w/ cream cheese. Then I loved the pepperoni crisps. Then fell for boiled shrimp in a big salad w/ LC salsa and mayo dressing. Oh yeah, spaghetti squash sauteed w/ feta cheese is fantastic.

The key is to think of all the meats, cheeses, veggies, spices and just constantly mix and match.

Think of what you would be eating if you did High Carb and then just take the extra 60 seconds to figure out how to get similar tastes with LC ingredients.

It really is an awesome WOE!
