Chinese Food: any legal?
Hey all, finishing up my second week of induction, feeling great!!!!
Is there ANY Chinese food that is legal? ( not sushi) thanks Kathryn |
Go to newbie's questions up at the top and do a search for Chinese Food. There was a discussion about this just the other day. I think there are a few things you can eat.

I will be looking for that link, my downfall is Sushi though, I could eat it everyday, every meal if possible.

My chinese staple is to get a meat and veggies dish w/ garlic sauce and specify no cornstarch. This will make the sauce a little runny, but still tastes great with less carbs.
You can also have egg foo yung (chinese omelette) but watch out for the gravy. |
Yum Yum this sounds great, I am trying new recipes and take out food. I am excited about this WOE. Always seraching for new recipes.

I love Chinese food too...what I enjoy is pork egg-foo-young (sp?). Eggs, onions, pork, sprouts, etc. just leave off the sauce.

Yes, as long as you tell the Chinese Restaurant - no starch, no sugar, no MSG.... My restaurant does this for me all the time.
Some dishes I have ordered - chicken chow-main, chicken or beef w/Broccoli, Chicken w/string beans, beef w/mushrooms, Jade Delight (green beans, broccoli, snow pea pods)..... and no rice! |
Thanks to all!!!

The Chinese place by us offers beef skewers which also have a large piece of green pepper on them...
...plus they also offer chicken wings that are fried with no breading. I usually opt for all of the above and add stir fry beef, broccoli and onion or egg foo young (sans sauce). Basically, your success at a Chinese restaurant depends on their willingness to prepare dishes for you without the sauces and starches. Donald :wiggle: |
