Akasha's Gym Log
 
I started going to the gym last week and I thought it would be a good idea to track my progress for myself (and anyone else who is interested) to view.

Friday, Mar. 19: 20 minutes on treadmill (60 Cal, .80 miles), crunch machine 3 sets 12 reps, inner and outer thigh toner (3 sets 12 reps)

Sunday, Mar. 21. :: 15 minutes fat burning pilate video. Bike (100 Cal)

Monday, Mar. 22. 20 minutes cardio on treadmill (3.3 mph)(85 Cal, 1.0 mile), crunch machine 3 sets 10 reps, inner and outer thigh toner 3 sets 12 reps.
Pilate video for 15 min.

Tuesday, Mar 23. 20 minutes cardio (3.6 mph)(105 Cal, 1.1 miles), inner thigh toner 3 sets 12 reps.

I'll update this daily.

Tuesday Mar. 23 :: UPDATE- 40 minutes of pilate/matwork tape

Wednes. Mar. 24 :: 20 min. on treadmill (110 Cal, 1.2 miles) stairstepper 8 min. (50 Cal, 110? steps of stairs) crunch machine ~ 70 lbs 3 sets 9 reps. thigh machine ~ 60 lbs 3 sets 10 reps. Back extensions (3 sets 11 reps.)

Felt very pleased with my workout today. I know I will continue to increase, but this is a good pace for now.

Wednes. UPDATE: Bike 1.0 mile, walked outdoors 1.2 mile. Biked indoor 20 minutes. Leg, butt and ab at home exercises.

Here are my near starting measurements:

Hips: 44 1/2
Waist: 41 1/2
Bust: 41 1/2

I will try to measure once a month or so. Hoping to see some great results!

Thurs. March 25 :: 30 minutes on treadmill (1.8 miles, average 3.3 MPH, 163 CAL) Inner and outer thigh (90 LBS, 3 sets 12 reps) back extensions (100 LBS, 3 sets 12 reps).

Gonna go home and do some more too.

Thursday March 25 UPDATE:

Did 30 min. pilate fat burning video and walked 1.3 miles.

Making my total walking for today 3.1 miles! Wahoo, a new record for me. 7.6 miles for the week so far. Hoping to get at least 10 in by Saturday night!

Friday Mar. 26: Treadmill 1.2 miles, walked 1.3 miles at home (2.5 in all) 50 min. spent walking in all. back extentions 3 sets 12 reps. inner and outer thigh 3 sets 10 reps. triceps 3 sets 10 reps. abs 3 sets 11 reps.

Monday March 29: Didn't do anything over the weekend, but plan to make up for it this week.

Walked 4.0 miles today. Was short on time and still sore. Plan to go to the gym tomarrow for a total workout.

New Measurements:

Hips: 43''
Waist: 39 1/2
Bust: 39 1/2

So far I have lost 1 1/2 inches off hips
2 1/2 inches off waist and bust

Yay!

BUST: 38 1/2 - down 3 inches
WAIST: 40 - I miscalculated last time, I think. down 3 inches though!
HIPS: 42' - Down 2 1/2 inches

That makes 8 1/2 inches lost in all so far.

I'm going back to the gym in the morning. Starting a weight training program and lots of cardio, too. I'll try to post my daily workouts here when I get a chance.

Looks like you're making excellent progress. I just started a gym log as well, so I'm a fellow newbie at this too. Thought I'd pop in and say 'good job'! Northern New York eh? I spent a bit of time near Saratoga Springs, back in the day. Nice place, and nice ppl.

Hi Idaho! Yup, I am even farther north than Saratoga. Like 3 1/2 hours farther north. Hehe.

Okay, my first day of the gym went well. I did:

50 min on treadmill. 2.5 miles. 211 calories. 3.3-3.1 MPH.

Triceps- 30 pounds. X12, X10, X8
Inner and Outer Thighs
Back Extensions
Abs- I forgot what weight it was at. LOL. X10, X9, X8

Even further north. Above the adirondacks. Try 20 minutes from the Canadian border (near the St. Lawrence river, if you've heard of it.) Yup, waaaaay up north. :)

Gym Updates: Walked 2.0 miles on treadmill yesturday.

Walked 1.0 miles on treadmill and did 10 minutes on the ski machine (first time trying it!) I really like the ski machine. It burns way more calories than the treadmill and I feel like I am getting a better workout. I plan to use it more often.
