My hubby blew it for just 1 day, now what ??

Hi,

My hubby went out with his guy pals yesterday and BLEW IT !!
Basically he just ate like last time. Lots of carbo and sugar ... cakes, etc

What can I do for him now ?
Make him do Induction again ?
For how many days ?
Do we have to make him go through the 2 weeks again ?

Or is 2 days of induction suffificient to clear all those glycogen stores in him ??

He's been doing really well coz I make food for him to bring to work everyday !

If He goes through the induction diet for 2 days, and gets back into the ketosis state, he shd be able to continue with the diet and weight loss right ??

Hi Chloep

My husband and I are having the same problem, he has alot of travelling for work this month and I am going to a friends place next week. I have decided to enjoy myself while I am there and of course my hubby is endulging right now.... but anyways my plan is to go back on induction for at least a week after we are both home.

well enough babbling!! :o
I read on a website somewhere that if you cheat you should go on induction for at least a week... but I think I would use your judgement, you would think as long as he gets into ketosis again that it should work...

Well I dont know if any of this has made sense, maybe someone else with some more knowledge will reply!!

But it was good talking to you!! :D

Sheri (see what this diet does to you :daze: )lol

unfortunately lots of people "blow it" early with this WOE. We are human make mistakes OR eat things we shouldnt by choice. Im sure there are many opinions about what to do. I would think if he stays on induction for 3 days which will get his body back into ketosis then he should be back on track..

I agree with gwilson38 - about three days should do it. A week or more certainly wouldn't cause harm, but is probably not necessary. Even if he just went back to eating properly and stuck to it things would work out fine, but by doing the induction for a few days he can quickly flush his system and get over any withdrawal symptoms quickly. In fact, that might be the best advice - do induction until all induction symptoms are gone and you are back to normal.

Also, he might try to use this as a learning experience and ask what other choices were available to him that would have been equally or even more enjoyable that the bad stuff he had. The key question is a twist on gwilson38's sig line: "Did anything he ate taste as good as thin will feel?"

HI SHeri dearie ! Thanks for all your responses !

Hi,

My hubby doesn't get to go out much with his pals, prob thrice a mth. Think if he's good for 27 days a mth, he shd be ok :) !!

Anyway, he loves meat stuff, he's actually enjoying himself ... except he misses his sugar !!

We put him back on induction.
And i told him not to worry too much abt that one day event as long as he is able to get back into ketosis after a few days.
