Diet Pop - the Good, the Bad, the Aspertine

I am confused about diet pop. I am in induction and see posts about people drinking it. Are they all drinking the splenda version like the book suggests??

I couldn't find any made with anything but aspertine and I thought that was a nono.:nono:

Please can someone clear that up for me? I'm not a big pop drinker and can deal with no diet pop - but just for every now and then...

I've only seen 1 brand of Diet soda with Splenda and that was HANSENS DIET SODA, and it didn't taste bad at all. I'm sure there are more but i'm a newbie to this WOL =)

There is also Dt. Rite. They make many flavors. I bought both the dt rite cola and dt rite tangerine. But, I admit I do drink one or two (dt colas w/ aspartame) a day and it hasn't bothered me. I am trying to drink mostly water.

I have been drinking Diet Rite... also Diet Dad's Rootbeer... both are sweetened with splenda...
If I am out at a bar... i deal with the diet cola they have on tap... hasn't seemed to have any ill effect on me...

I can only drink it occasionally with a meal..but I drink Diet Rite mostly, but just about any kind occasionally. It really HURT at first to give up artificial sweeteners, but it's helped break my stall.

Disclaimer--I'm not saying they stall EVERYONE, but for me, they were a factor.
