Fran Drescher LCs...

I got up to go to the bathroom about 4 this morning and my TV was on. Jay Leno was on and he had Fran Drescher as a guest. I heard her say that lost weight by cutting "carbohydrates and dairy." Since it was the 3/4 AM Tonight Show, it would have been a repeat of last week's. But, Jay took last week off. So, this show was from some other date. I don't know when. Kinda interesting, though to hear a celeb on National TV (even at 4 AM) say she lost weight LCing.

I think Jennifer Aniston does low carbing too? Not sure. But you can tell she looks stronger and healthier than other women who do low fat diets.

hi all,

LC si sooo 'IN' at the moment. yep, I did read that jennifer aniston is on a zone type plan, not as strict as atkins. also kim catrall, sex in the city, is on an LC plan aswell, her protein is salmon!

our 60 minutes tonite has a story on LC, can't wait to see that.

Yep, it really is. I just read a story on it in the current Reader's Digest. I'm sorry to say, LC'ing will go "out" again someday, though, and some other WOE will take the lead. This is the second time in my lifetime that LC'ing has taken the limelight. It was popular back in the 50's too (Ooops, I'm aging myself!). Anyway, I remember my sister trying to keep her carbs under 50 a day. Back then it was called the "LC 50 Diet," or the "Military Diet," or something like that. However, I plan on sticking with LC'ing the rest of my life whether it remains "in" or not because it works for me. :yay:

Good Luck! Morgan

She just wrote a book about her experience with cancer entitled 'Cancer Schmancer'. I'm very happy she's still with us, Fran's a LIVING doll.

Zone

There is a Zone food delivery service in the big cities, like NYC and LA, and some stars (such as Aniston, it is rumored) sign up for that. Perfect Zone food is delivered to her several times a day by courier.

I've read magazine articles talking about stars showing up carrying a Zone meal with them, and I figure it's one of the courier meals, although they do sell prepared meals at the store too.

Atkins has a food dilivery service too. For around $40 a day they will send you 3 complete Atkins approved meals and 1 snack. i would never do it, I need more flexability and that's alot of cash. I can see how the plan would be attractive to a single person who makes quite a bit of money but has very little time for cooking and shopping.

Minnie Driver does Atkins, as does Stevie Nicks. Katherine Zeta-Jones is a low-carber, too. They propably all knew about LCing long before us, hence why everyone in the biz is thin! (they were trying to keep it a secret!!!) ;)
