Advantage Bars, 2 grams??

I hope someone can help me. Why does it say on the front of the package of Advantage Bars that they only count for 2 grams of carbs if your doing Atkins when the label says 20? Which is correct?

Actually, both are correct. The total carbs is 20 grams, but the amount of sugar alcohol is 18 grams. Sugar alcohol is hypothetically a non-impact carb, so can be subtracted out of the total giving you a total of 2 net carbs. For most people, sugar alcohols are not a problem, for others it slows or stalls their weight loss. You will have to be the judge of whether it is OK for you. Personally, sugar alcohol does not have any impact on my weight loss.

Be very careful about eating the bars while on induction. This is supposed to be the time when you kick your addiction to sweets, carbs, whatever. I began using them on OWL and never had any problems. Good luck as you progress! :wiggle: :wiggle: :wiggle:

ya what they said! lol I ate some of the choc bars from atkins and carbolite they are soo god they dont do anything to my weight (thank-god) but I started eating them after 2 months, I wouldnt on induction. Just watch and see

Another vote for excluding sugar-alcohols from Induction. On paper, you can fit the net carbs in, but Induction is really a 100% commitment to a specific set of foods with almost no exceptions and it only lasts two weeks (unless you want to continue). You'll have plenty of time to experiment later, but hopefully, you'll only do Induction once.

You don't have to make induction harder than it has to be. The Atkins website states that Atkins Advantage bars are legal induction food.
Don't take my word for it, check for yourself, LOL.
