Change in bowel movements?

Lovely question to ask, sorry:-/ But I'm curious since I used to go daily at least once a day, now I go 3-4 days at a time without. I am still brand new and in Atkin's induction, and except for the first ~3 days I have no discomfort. Is this just because of the difference in consumption and the lower volume? I am staying under 20g carbs a day.

Diet can affect every aspect including BM's (O.k leave me alone, us nurses are obsessed with BM's). As long as you are having no discomfort, this may be temporaty or just your bodies way of eliminating has re-set itself. No big deal. You can go for 3-4 days with no probs. Just make certain you are drinking enough water as not will cause constipation. Good luck now!

p.s: Think of it as time saving. You spend that much less time in the bathroom now!

Hot tea (regular, like lipton, English Breakfast, black or orange pekoe) helps.
