Anyone else anemic and on atkins
 

I was wondering if anyone else is anemic, and if they could offer some advise while doing atkins. I have to take iron pills 3 times a day, and I am hoping I won't have to for a long time for they make me nauseas and they give me headache. Just wondering if anyone can give me some ideas for low carbing.

I WAS anemic! Ever since Atkins my iron levels are high now! I eat lots of spinach though!

hello. i too am anemic. however, with all the meat we eat, it kind of counteracts the anemia. i have not had to take iron since i started. also, the iron can make it ummm difficult to go to the bathroom. as if we dont have enough of that with this woe.
i would continue to have the doc check your blood, you will find you dont need the iron pills.
