APRIL Exercise Challenge
We did walking challenges for February and March and found it really helped to set goals - it motivates you to get more done when you really don't feel like it. (I doubled what I had been doing before the challenges.)
For April we're going to do an exercise challenge - just pick your exercise goal fo the month and cut and paste it to my goal to keep a running total for the month. Hope we can get more people to join the challenge. Summer 3X/wk weights; walk 50 miles Summer |

Hiya all! I would like to join.
My goals are: 4x a week at the gym walk 60 miles this month go to the pool at least once (I am shy in my bathing suit) |

My goals are: 3x week at Curves walk 45-60 minutes on the other days on the trails, near home (lots of ups and downs). Have been doing Curves 3x week since Oct./03 .... just started adding the walking this week .... it feels great! |
As our targets are more varied this month, Summer how are we going to report?
Do we still do a list? Got my first visit to the gym in today - approx. 3.5 miles. More details on my gym log. |

Summer 3X/wk weights; walk 50 miles AFwife---Mondays,Wednesday & Fridays..Richard Simmons Disco Sweat..Tuesdays & Thursdays...Stepper for 20 minutes I already started the video on Monday and since have lost 6 pounds so this challenge will keep me motivated for those days I just don't wanna. Like today but did it anyway and felt great when done. |

Anyone who said X # of times a week I multiplied the # by 4 to get the times for the month. If you're not happy with how I did your goals you can update them. Busybee you need to update your goal for walking, I wasn't sure what it was. If anyone else wants to join for the month they can just add their info. For people who didn't do last month's challenge, each time you add your progress, cut and paste everyone's info into your post, then update your progress. This way we keep an updated record in the last post for everyone. Do you think this works? I know I took out some of the detail but it's easier to cut and paste if we each have only one line. If anyone else has other suggestions, feel free to make changes. I know today is the 2nd but I didn't exercise yesterday so I have no update yet! Will have to force myself to do something tonight. For my walking, I am including all miles on machines at the gym, my WAP tape and any real walking I do. Full details of my exercises can be found in my gym log. Lovely evening here in Surrey - actually did some gardening! Roll on summer! |

Thanks for coming after me Summer. I wanted to congratulate you all for achieving last months goal. I think I left with about 6 miles. As you may have read in my journal, I completely lost it last month. I gained 16lbs. on top of a few that I had gained the month before. For the last couple months I have been going up and down at least 10lbs. All my fault of course but this month I am trying so hard. It just never gets easier for me like everyone else talks about. I started out on tuesday at 199.5 and today I am 193.5. Boy do I wish it would always come off that fast.

It is a shame how fast you can let your body get back out of shape. |
This sounds like fun, think I will give it a shot :) I have been exercising regularly since the second week in February.
