Soy Flour icky..

HI there,

I heard awhile back that soy flour was a lowcarb alternative to real flour...so when I saw it in the store I bought a bag $2.69cdn..just a little bag...I had come across this cheese bread receipe...so I thought I would try it today...I couldn't even bring myself to eat very much of it...the soy flour seemed to have a bizarre before/during/after taste. :Puke: ...kinda fishy? yet metallic? is that normal?

Anyways I had a craving for a Baking Powder type biscuit (warm with butter)...any other suggestions?

When I first started this WOE I went out and bought some, and I don't like it either. It smells and tastes like I'm eating grass.

I don't like soy either, but I found if you added it to whey protein isolate (not whey powder as the carb count is too high) and make you own fake mix it was not bad. The recipe I use is:
1 cup Whey Protein Isolate
1 cup soy flour
3 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt

Sift everything together three times. Use as you would the Atkins or GNC bake mix.
It makes great pancakes.
