How long can a jar of Newman's Own pasta sauce last in the fridge, once it's been opened?

I think most pasta sauces are good for about 2-3 weeks in the fridge after being opened. I know that a long time ago I actually called Ragu's 800-number to ask them the same question. They told me 3 weeks and that's the rule of thumb I've used ever since.
