Club Soda / Soda Water Question

Club Soda thesame thing as Soda Water? I am in Australia and I have never heard or had Club Soda before. I have been buying Soda Water the supermarket though - Is this OK during Induction?.

Help much appreciated.

Check the label, I think that soda water has sodium in it. I have never reduced my sodium intake but many who are lcing ( or any other diet ), watch their sodium intake.
I think that soda water and club soda are the same.

Hi Tachi77,

Yup, pretty sure they are the same thing. Soda water is a good way to pep things up, especially SF cordials.

BTW Pleased to see you are still sticking with things, I was a bit concerned by your last post a while ago. Hope things are going well and remember we are here for you!:wiggle:

Thanks for your replies. Excuse my ignorance but why should I watch my Sodium intake? I have been having a glass of Soda Water every day for the last week or so.

Chebbles - Still struggling along but I don't wanna quit. Slow process (no cheating) though. The way I am going I think I am going to have to stretch Induction for a couple of months!. Thanks for your concern.

Too much sodium will make you retain water - the scales therefore may discourage you.

I think both club soda and soda water can contain sodium BUT both also come in sodium free as well so you just have to look at it before you buy it.

Seltzer is generally well-filtered tap water with artificially added carbonation. Club soda is also artificially carbonated but contains other additives as well, including sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride, sodium phosphate, and sodium citrate. I prefer the former. You can make your own with a home seltzer maker, sometimes called a "seltzer charger". They're available in many department stores.
