Cravings & blood sugar levels
Here is a part of the latest Hold the Toast Newsletter in which author Dana Carpender experiments with blood sugar rises after eating carbs (pasta) as opposed to low-carb bars. She did numerous blood sugar readings after eating each of the foods.

How interesting -- after reading that article, it just occurred to me that I don't yawn after meals anymore!! While everyone around me is complaining they need a nap after lunch, I have absolutely no feelings of sleepiness at all. Hallelujah! :)

thanks for the link, I read the whole issue and subscribed. It makes me want to start testing my blood sugar. I'd probably be a lot less attracted to sugar if I saw the actual effect. Also, I never knew that the liquid sweet n low has no carbs.

My doctor told me "no more potatoes, breads, cakes and other starches" when we realized I was passing out due to low bloodsugars.
