great use for sugar-homemade sugar scrub

Here's a way to use up that bag of sugar we all have laying around the pantry.

Mix 1 bottle of glycerin(Walmart carries this) with 1/2 c olive oil. Stir in 1 c sugar. Add a few drops of scented oil, if desired. Use in the shower as a great exfoliate/moisturizer.

Hah! Very clever... You know, I even have the glycerine!

You are a genius! I have to try that.

Probably more cheap than genius!! But it does work just like the commercial ones!

Great idea! Thanks for passing it along. :)

I've actually just used the sugar on its own without mixing it with anything and it works. I started doing it years ago, it would leave my skin so soft!

I actually buy a sugar scrub from this ebay seller - they put essential oils in it, and it smells divine! Who would have thought I'd be on LC and rubbing Sugar Cookie scented sugar on my feet?!?!?!? ;)

Sounds cool, as long as I don't absorb any. Those extra carbs would do me in lol

I now have two full bags of sugar, just got one free from Giant Market this week, all those items I get free like that I keep to give to the food drive for the homeless shelters, etc.

I always used baking soda as a scrub and it works well...I don't have any sugar!

Warning: do not use this product while mouth is open, or a 5 lb. weight gain may result upon exiting the shower.
