induction

i've been on induction a week now and i don't feel in any real danger of 'breaking' but i would like something to break the monotony of meat, cheese, eggs and veggies.
i tried the atkins advantage bars (1/2 a bar each day the past 2 days) and they're alright, but i was wondering if there are any other bars on the market that are acceptable to eat during the induction phase. thanks!

Not really. Induction is pretty strict-but you only have another week to go. There are a couple of threads concerning making induction more interesting and adding more variety to it. I would suggest either sticking that in the search window or just scrolling back a day or two in both the General Carb area and the Atkins area.

BAR Warning

JUSt a WARNING

Be careful with bars!! Actually even atkins bars are not allowed till after induction. Alot of people find them a staller. But in general most bars are not that great for you. BArs are processed foods, all combined to make a bar. ALot of chemicals, additives, fillers are used. Even if its a no sugar low carb bar they have to substitute and add either sugar alcohols like glycerine, or artificial sweetner like aspartam or splenda that for some is ok but for other s is not. Try to stick to natural foods. Your body assimilates them best. Think about it. When your body has to deal with chemicals, fillers, binders it can't really absorb the nutrients as well and has to do alot of filtering for you. I really don't do well with them so I'm talking from my own experience. But you can judge for yourself if they agre with you. I just find that the more natural you go with this the better the results.

Go to the recipe section and you'll find some great goodies that u can make so you don't get bored. I had the same prob, until I tried some new meals. Good luck

Hi kbk! Welcome! Like Piera said, try get your food from more natural foods. Alot of people have complained about their weight stalling because they use the Atkins bars and shakes.

Other foods you can eat: tuna, shrimp, salmon, bacon, eggs, chicken, lamb, ground beef, plus there are a variety of vegetables that you can eat on Atkins. Look through the Acceptable foods on Induction on the Atkins site.

Don't forget your fats!

Good luck
