What is PP? I haven't heard of this term/diet before?
What is Protein Power // PP? I just recently saw this category.. and now I'm intrigued. I'd like to know what it is? And does it allow whey protein powder? Do you recommend a website or book I can find out more about it in full detail?

"Protein Power" has been around since the early nineties. It allows 30 carbs of any kind on weight loss, 55 on maintenance. Unlike Atkins it doesn't restrict particular foods as long as you stay at or below the suggested carb levels. Or you could just, you know, Google "protein power." :D

Or you could read Dr. Mike's blog, one of classics, he's been around dishing out no nonsense low carb advice for years. http://www.proteinpower.com/drmike/
Note a new edition is in the works, but you can find the original book for pennies on used book websites. |
I'd recommend the Protein Power Lifeplan, which is a great introduction to the lifestyle. I also love Dr. Mike's blog. It is always really informative.

Here is a summary of Protein Power (from "Plans" on the green menu bar that runs along the top of the page): Protein Power
