Canadian here!

Hello everybody! I was just looking at some of the posts in here and was wondering what a stone is, in relevence to weight.
For example:

130 lbs= ______ stone?

I was also wondering if you find ample access to low-carb foods in your grocery stores.

Hi 146 pounds

A stone is 14 pounds, so I'll leave you to do the maths.

In general low carb goodies are only just getting into the shops and at the moment they are limited to mainly Atkins bars and supplements and some Carbolite bars. Things have got a lot better over the last 6 months. Before that you could only buy things on line and there are a few UK internet LC shops. We have become very used to eating real food and so in many ways the new products are not that helpful!!

Hi 146pounds.

That would make you 10 stone 6lbs :yay:

I wish the ISO would kick in.

If you are asking about the lo-carb junk food, we don't get much in the UK but its starting, I did see some lo-carb bread advertised but it was only 1 carb less than the "normal" bread and full of trans-fatty acids :nono: .

I noticed too that the nimble wholemeal is the same in carbs etc as the low carb white I think the only difference was the fibre of which the wholemeal came out on top.
