Hello Low Carb World

I found the site by accident, looked good and joined the club, so Hi!

Dieting, but eating well since Nov 01, still full and loosing weight. I must be doing something wrong. My one concern is how much vitamin supplements should I be on, I'm currently taking a combination of multiviatmins and essential oils is this enough:confused:

Take care

Hi Liam,

Welcome aboard! Why do you're doing something wrong? Your supplements sound good. If you experience fatigue or muscle cramps, you may supllement extra potassium and cal-meg. Keep us posted on your progress.

Hi Liam...
Welcome!!
Somehow you got missed by our Locarb gurus that could be very specific with answering your question.

However look around the forum... there are sections on supplements (maybe in locarb tips?) or go through some of the threads (maybe general locarber) I know I've seen lots of talk here about the vitamins.
I'm taking the multi, essential oils, calcium, potassium, E, and C.

Wish I could help you out more!!

Congrats on the weight loss!!

Hi Liam,

You've got great stats, you're doing well on Atkins. Extra calcium, magnesium and potassium are usually necessary. Potassium because when you drink lots of water, you can become depleted on this essential mineral. The cheapest way to add potassium is to buy No-Salt (potassium chloride) in the seasoning section of your grocers or at a health food store. Since you are in the UK, the brand name could be different, just check the label for pot/chlor. Use it just like salt in cooking and at the table.

You can search the site for threads that deal with supplements by clicking on the globe icon on the upper right of the screen. I'd suggest searching by 'supplements' or 'cal', 'mag', whatever and by name: doreen T. She's our resident nurse & medical info guru. There's lots of good info in previous threads, it'll keep you busy reading ;)

Post lots, we'd like to get to know you. Have you any recipes or LC wisdom to share?

Thanks for the warm welcome and advice, sounds like I'll be rattling soon! Now I have to get my head around the low-carb abbreviations.

Cheers
