keto flakes

Keto has a new product frosted cereal flakes, sorry I might not quote it correctly. Honey nut, apple cinnamon and orginial, 3 carbs per serving, though 4 g maltitol and sugars less than 1 g.
If anyone of you tries them please post a review how they are. I am planning to buy them.

Here's some detail info on this new product, it takes a while to get into the stores, sometimes...

http://www.ketofoods.com/ezStore123...p?productID=395

110 cals per serving, 9g Total Carbs, 17g Protein, 1g Fat
(so, using the Hidden Carb Inspector because not everyone deducts maltitol fully), a net effective carb count of just under 7.5g per 3/4 Cup / 1 oz serving.

FYI

I've had the honey nut flakes. I like them! Nice crunch and a nutty flavor that's not too sweet. It's a keeper for me.

My local LC store had samples of the Original frosted flakes out last week. They tasted good, but a little on the sweet side for me.

I used diluted cream with a little bit of artificial sweeter (stevia or splenda) and perhaps a dash of salt. It tastes better than the skim milk that I drank for decades while low fat eating!

Keto Cocoa Crispies

OMG!! I tried this for breakfast this morning and it was YUMMY! I almost ate too much of it!

the tasts is ok, but as soon as you start chewing it, it becomes soggy

To me they tasted nothing like Cocoa Krispies, but were not that bad. They did ballon like crazy though, so my first bowl ended up being a large one. The next time I had them for breakfast I measured. I found they taste better and more chocolatey when Soy Slender Chocolate is used on them.

cereal?

I'm no longer in the induction phase, but I'm still trying to keep my carbs down to around 30g a day.

I've really been wanting cereal lately. I know that cereals like Hi-Low (7g net carbs) and All-Bran with Extra Fiber (7g net carbs) are fairly low. I know there's stuff like Keto Crisp out there, but I've heard bad things about Keto Crisp (such as it tastes like styrofoam packing peanuts!! ).

Anyone have any recommendations?

Hi there.

If you can, pick up a box of the Atkins (with Almonds if you like) cold cereal. I get the stuff with almonds and it's not bad. Keto also makes some okay cold cereals, but they have sugar alcohols, and Atkins does not. I prefer not to start the day off with GI issues, so I stick mostly with the Atkins. I haven't been able to find his cold cereals in the local stores that carry his products.... have to order it online usually.

Good luck and hope this helps.

The thing I don't like about the new Keto cold cereals is that they all have sugar alcohols. I just don't like to start off the day with possible GI issues, you know? But they taste pretty good.

The Atkins cereal with almonds is good and doesn't have any sugar alcohols.

Just thought I'd share my 2 cents.

locarb cereal?

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a locarb cereal? I hate to waste my money on something that is awful. Thanks!

There are many many posts and reviews on all kinds of hot and cold cereal now out in the lowcarb market... if you use our cool SEARCH feature (see the globe on the upper right?) in this Products forum, or read thru the sticky helpful How To Search thread at the top of this Products forum, you will save yourself a lot of time...
