Poll: Loss with cheating versus no cheating
 
Okay, I need some reassurance and help so that I don't cheat. I need to see real results, even though I know the real answer, in order to convince myself to never cheat again. I thought a good way would be to collect data from those who have/haven't cheated and compare that data.

The question I am wanting to ask:

Starting weight / How much weight have you lost / in how many weeks, and / did you cheat a little (occasional bowl of popcorn, piece of bread), a lot (whole days of ice cream, bread and potatoes), or not at all.

I'll start it off:

235 / 15 pounds / 8 weeks / a lot

(what does this ^ tell you already :lol: )

Thanks in advance for the assistance with my "study" :roll:

273 / 38 / 3 months / cheated only once. One of my pupils gave me some sweets and I couldn't resist them, otherwise no cheating.

243/33 pounds/13 wks/drank frozen alcoholic drinks on 2 occasions. Once in May, once 2 weeks ago.

220 / 45 / 13 weeks / no cheating the first 3 months...I did cheat on the 3 month mark for my birthday and now I am actually losing more weight. I think it has helped me out. Now I can add fruits a more veggies and they actually are helping me out. I am still staying around under 30 g's per day though.

205 / 10/ 9 weeks / cheated couple of times with a bite of bread or few spoons of rice but always stayed ~ 20g carbs. Forced to go to 30g carbs on a vegetarian diet for 3 weeks for religious reasons. Had lot of franken food (bars & shakes)during that period.

Now I still try to be at 20g but have introduced nuts, low-carb tortilla and an ocassional treat of low carb pancakes, muffins or snacks.

Right now I have hit a stall and keep gaining and loosing the same 2 pounds :rolleyes:

i started at 150 and am at 148 ....5 weeks ...i cheat...frustrating but i like the scale not moving in the wrong direction

215/ 39.5 lbs/ 5 months/

Cheats: a french fry off DH's plate once in a blue moon, 1 bite of cheesecake, 1 bite of filo pastry, 6-8 nights out with wine

LC products used: Splenda (sparingly), Designer Whey (for breakfast shakes), and last week I had 2 fudgicles with malitol (first time I've had sugar alcohols or any of the commercial LC treats.)

No cheats, no way. I am doing this forever for me and loving it. Why would I cheat myself? Good luck and just know that you can do it. Keep up the good work.

167/15/6.5/a few times, but only for a day at a time, (so a total of 3 days of cheats).

232/28 lbs/18 weeks/yes.

My partner and I (both LC-ing) do planned cheats about once a month, where we go out to a nice dinner and simply do not pay attention to the carbo or calorie counts, eating and drinking whatever we please. We both find that this keeps us from feeling deprived the rest of the time.
