Small victory
Ive been staring at the lemon poundcake every morning for a week when I get my coffee..I know that mainly what I want is the texture. And lets face it, who doesnt enjoy soft sweet buttery poundcake?
So this morning, instead of my usual eggs and sausage I had a slice of low carb bread and peanut butter. And 4 strawberries. I havent had these foods in 3 months. Maybe I should more-Ive tried everythng else and havent lost in a month! Good to know the bread and peanut butter is a good sub for that craving. And better to have more carbs in am than everning, right? |
Personally Im terrified of eating the wrong things.....
All I do is look at a carb and there it is plastered to my chin. :) I do enjoy a spoon of peanut butter too though.... It is the one thing at home I can run too if the cravings get to be too much..... Keep it up.... |

Real sugar turns my stomach now. Give it a while being clean--will possible do the same for you. Major help when it comes to finding sugary foods attractive. |
Yah, it was unusual. Cuz on the few occasions when I find myself WANTING sugar, Ill have a taste-and realize it wasnt all that-I decided its more the not having it than really craving it-and the texture of poundcake is really what I wanted as comfort food instead of the actual cake!
Ive been clean for a long time now. Really. |

ooooh, nice. Ill have to try this. this week the starbucks pastry disaster is averted as Im taking the train to work, but I will have to check it out when I start to feel deprived. I know what I want is the crumb and oil texture, the sweet is just kind of besides the point. I made a package of krusteez LC blueberry muffins yesterday, and the carbfreak stepchild loved them, so I had a couple and satisfied the texture craving, and got rid of them in the same batch!
I still have half a bawdy cheesecake in the freezer since...June? I think it may be time to get rid of it... |
