Help!!! It Takes Forever For A Page To Load!!!
 

ARE YOU GUYS DOING SOMETHING AGAIN ...
For the last two days, it takes forever for a page to load ...

The top of the page downloads fine, but the bottom takes forever and a day .. This is at my work system only ...

We have SDSL here ... and normally I have no problems ..
I cleaned out my cookies .. (per Joan .. we are trying to stay on Low carb... why would I want cookies :lol: )

I don't have the problem with any other website .. only this one ...

I get from the top to the Yellow bar, and the profile, register, calendar all the way down to logout ... but the body seems to take forever ...

Again, I would think that it may be my computer, but I can go anywhere else on the web, and not run into this problem ...

Can you help ... even with a suggestion or two ????

I just got over De-carb withdrawals again.. I don't want to go thru De-forum withdrawals too ... How much do think a person can take :lol: :daze: ...

Same problem here and I have a DSL line.

All other websites load fine for me.

Seems like the same problem we had about 2 months ago???

I'm having the same problems-started yesterday.

I'm not aware of any changes to cause this, but if this happens again, please send me the trace information to see what might be happening.

I've been noticing this problem too...tracing won't tell you much because it's not a web server response issue...page headers load quickly...but the body is taking 15+ seconds to load each time...and it occurs in both the main content and the vBulletin forum...first guess would be a database problem (been tuning your MySQL recently?) but you'd probably have a better idea about that.

I am having the same problem! The top of the page comes up fine but the rest takes a while!!!

Actually, I didn't do anything, it just fixed itself :) I didn't experience this problem myself though....

Bdeeley, yes an untuned db can cause this, but it wasn't the case this time. Next time when/if this happens, I'll try a process of elimination and see if it's due to remotely hosted links, scripts or images like WebTrends stats.

But I'm glad it's back to normal :thup:

Um, I think the problem right at the moment is that the server is slow. It's taking forever to connect to the page at all, not even loading banners.

Ping Plotter shows my connection is reeeeeeaaaaaalllllly slow and hanging at... fa0-0.core1.pwebtech.com [207.99.8.198]

I'm hanging at williams-communication-inc.Chicago.cw.net but I am getting the top quarter of the page with member/profile/faq etc then "done".
