Help

Just realised ther is a sight for the UK. Posted this question on the main forum and got some feedback but still no change. So here goes are there any ladies out there who developed breast pain. Not pregnant and got another two weeks till TOM. Any advice would be helpfull as it has now been over a week.

Go and see your doctor!

unexplained breast pain should be checked out in the same way as a breast lump. I don't want to worry you, but this really is something you should ask a doctor about.

I agree with Fiona - it is unlikely that it is a change of diet that has caused this. It is all to easy to assume that when you change your food patterns that these are the cause of other problems which are then highlighted.

I hope that it is nothing serious.

I get breast pain - quite badly at times - and have done so for years. I kept pestering my GP as I was worried even though various doctors had said not to worry. In the end she sent me for a mamogram (after about 15 years!) to put my mind at rest, and thankfully it was fine! Still get the pain but my mind is much easier!

So get to your docs and get it checked so you can stop worrying!

I have plenty of soya (milk, meat replacements etc) and linseeds (ground up or oil) every day and this helps. Reducing dairy can help too.

Been to Doc today and asked to cut down on the dairy as this can sometimes trigger breast pain if you are prone to breast pain before TOM. Will give it a try and thanks for reply.

If you are getting this each month before TOM then you might want to try self massage. Just grab them and move them round in circles on your chest. I know it sounds gross and sounds like it will hurt, but the reason behind it is to get all the extra fluid moving out of the breast tissue. It is sore at the time, but the reduction in pain afterwards is amazing. The trick is to start the massaqe as soon as they are a bit sore and it stops the water retention building up.

Tried the self massage! Hubby was quite interested and has offered to do it for me! Now if only I can get him that interested in giving me a back massage!
