Victory is ours! Krispy Kreme Krumbles!

Thank goodness, I was waiting for them to cave into our way of life!!!

Now I'm going to get fat again eating LC Krispy Kreme donuts :(

Lisa N Wed, May-26-04 16:02

Ummm...if they still fry the low carb version in partially hydrogenated oil like they do their original doughnuts, I think I'll pass. :p

I'd feel sorry for Krispy Kreme, but I cannot stop laughing my A** off! When they first came to Issaquah Washington, you could not get near the place, you had to wait in line or in your car for 1/2 hour or MORE! All for a donut???? And now we're supposed to feel sorry for them because people got tired of waiting and headed to Dunkin Donuts instead? They'd LOVE to blame Low-Carb, but it's their own marketing & PR that landed them at bankruptcy's door..........Oh PALEESEEEE..............\

A low carb Krispy Kreme? My goodness, how could they manage that?! And have it taste good? I haven't seen a light and fluffy low carb bread imitation yet.

Wenzday Wed, May-26-04 22:10

I cant pass up the real ones... I am sure they wont taste liek the real ones so whats the point? who wants a gros donut? may as well eat something healthier! sillly! We bought some the other day and tehy gave us a coupon for a dozen free... was wondering WHY? now I think I understand. lol

I believe LucyLucy is right. According to a newspaper article I read last week, Krispy Kreme's financial problems have nothing to do with LC--it has everything to do with bad business decisions. A lot of their day-old doughnuts are being passed off at convenience stores, and people just aren't buying them. They also purchased another bakery in the upstate New York area that turned out to be a bomb for them.

They can try to lay the blame on LCers for their falling profits, but if that article is correct we didn't do it--they did it to themselves.
