Allegra, Headache, and Ketosis?
 

Hi, all!

I Re-started Induction after having been on a Service Trip for 9 days, and I have a horrible headache!

I did not have it 3 months ago when I first started Atkins, but I do now. I'm wondering if it might be because I started taking Allegra again last week for pollen and grass allergies.

Does anyone else take Allegra? If so, does it ever cause headaches on this WOE or keep one from getting back into ketosis? I was almost constantly the darkest purple on the strip prior to my week down South (I live in Iowa), and now I can't seem to get the durn thing to register at all and I'm doing a strict 2-week induction.

I know it may take 4 or 5 days to "re-enter" ketosis, but the headache is bugging me too. Could it be "carb withdrawal" even if I didn't have one the first time I did Induction? Or, might I have to drink more than 80oz of water with the Allegra added in?

Did you intake a lot of caffeine on your trip and reduced the amount now that yhou are back? If so it could be caffeine withdrawal causing the headaches.

Nope. Not a drop of coffee or pop. Just water and decaf green tea.

I think it might have been a migraine, though. I get them every few months, and finally gave in about 4 hours ago and took a Midrin. Now, I feel a bit better. Maybe the headache is from a combo of allergies, migraine, AND carb withdrawal??

And, of course, my little sticks are still not pink . . .but maybe tomorrow!
