soy flour

Are we allowed to soy flour while on induction. Any one know the carb content?

soy flour

i believe you are supposed to stay away from all flours during induction and once you are in OWL or pre-maintenance, you can add it back in (soy or almond)... the point of induction is to rid your body of the starch/processed food addictions...

if you go to www.calorieking.com, you should be able to find the carb content but you need to know what kind of soy flour it is - fatted, defatted, etc... i have some and it's like 20 carbs/cup compared to 80+ for normal flour...

hope that helps...

Atkins Bake Mix is made out of soy flour. According to the two week induction menu, you are allowed some Zuccini Nut bread. I would not eat a lot of this though. I just use it as a treat.

In going by "the book", soy is a legume like kidney beans, and is not on the list of induction foods.
