Ma'at

This is the start of my gym log. (Creative title, isn't it?)
Right now I'm working on putting a fitness plan together for myself. This will include planning it out in my dayplanner and then writing the results here. My plan will consist of weights, cardio and stretching and at least 6 days of activity per week (Barring any illnesses or injuries).

A bit of background:
I used to workout a lot. It made me feel better. I've been slacking on it for the past 20 days under the guise of fear, depression and stress.

I am hoping to get a treadmill tonight or tomorrow morning. I've been using the fact that I'm exhausted because of working extended shifts and the stress of work and life to not exercise. With the treadmill here it won't be "I didn't have the energy to go to the gym. If I don't have the energy to walk 4 feet I best get to a doctor. :p

Not sure if I will do anything today. I'm in the midst of re-arranging things for the treadmill (Moving furnature is a workout in itself)

Welcome to the forum:-) First of all congratulations to your remarkable weight loss!! I hope you share your secrets, experiences. You can be a great help for many people here.
Interesting name choice:-)))
Looking forward to read your entries both here, and in your journal.
My best wishes

Thank you for the welcome, Galadriell.

I am completely impressed with you!! There is no way I even think about myself running a marathon, let alone actually doing it.

Name choice:
Thanks :)
I try to live my life according to the Principle of Ma'at (Hasn't been too successful this year and I'm feeling it :( )

I'm coming up on my 1 year aniversary at goal (150 lbs). It took me 2 years to make it but I did :) My secret: Atkins and exercise. As I got closer to goal, I had to lower my calories a bit (Occationally counting them to get a base of where I was.) I should probably go into that in my journal some time.

Again, Thank you for the welcome and congradulations on reaching your goal also!

Merry Meet and Em Hotep!

Thank you! Now I just have to write it out and follow it. Once I write it in my dayplanner I should be able to do it.

It's still in pieces :o Now that I have my wits about me this morning I think that I can get it done. I just hope:
A) That it works when it's assembled
B) It's not going to fall apart
C) That it's bad :(

I am hoping to get a weight set this morning/afternoon also. I have weights, but they aren't very good (Neoprene :o)

Senebty!

I got my treadmill set up

I ran 30 minutes - 2.08 miles (ouch! :( )

I just joined the "Walk Around The World" website.

Personal Goal:
15 miles a month - run/walk/jog
3.75 miles per week

By the end of the year that would put me at (Under the assumption that there are 49 weeks remaining in the year) - 183.75 miles. You know, that really doesn't sound like much. At least it's something! :)

:cheer: You got it set up! I love the idea of keeping track of miles walked or run :D

Thank you :D It took what seemed close to forever, but it's up!

I think that have sometihng other than physical results to aim for will help me keep my focus. <fingers crossed>

I have penned out for the next week my workout schedule. I still don't have weights yet. :( I have come to the conclusion that the store we are trying to buy them at will never have them and then when inquiring this afternoon, my OH got no information but plently of lip :nono:

I think we will just go buy a basic set though, either tonight or tomorrow in the am.

Dang,

they have it on sale, but they don't have it? Isn't that a Bait and Switch? What store?

I found it at Fred Meyer ($59.99 :( ). I could have probably gotten it for less, but I didn't want to go to GNC and Rite Aid didn't have it.
