Trying to keep a positive attitude

Trying to keep a positive attitude, but it is very hard this week. Bouncing around on the number scale. ( I know, throw the scale out) Easier said than done! All in all I end off the week up in the numbers game.

But I am not ready to give up yet. I have had sinus problems for years, medicated myself everyday for it, and also to go to sleep. Since starting Atkins, after the withdrawal headache went away, I have not had a sinus headache. To think all these years it was a food related thing and not mold and mildew as I was guessing!

Now if the Swoosh fairly is out there, I have been very good, stayed away from all girl scout cookies (thank God they are almost gone) and drank way more that 8 cups of water a day, even going on walks at nights. Could you please stop by my house for a couple of days? I could really use the encouragement!

For nearly 4 weeks you've done fine! I haven't lost anything in 3 weeks, but I fell great. Try to be patient...

Whoosh Fairy--------

Hi MaryToU,
I think the whoosh fairy stopped off at my house, I will be sending her your way ;) I hope it is OK, I added you to my buddy list, we are about the same place in weight, you are much younger, I'm sure more active, but, I thought it would be great to have an on-line buddy. I always say my shoulders are as broad as my butt, so feel free to unload your frustrations anytime! Venting can be a wonderful thing. Keep up the good work. Marla

It is hard when the scale isn't doing what we want, believe me I know. It seems my scale has been stuck for well over a week now. Are you measuring too? Sometimes when the scale won't cooperate the measuring tape is still our friend. Remember you can loose inches while the scale says nothing has changed, so if you're not measuring try to start. Patience is a virtue, so try to keep that positive attitude- eventually the scale won't have any choice but to go down. Good luck.
God Bless,
Amy-Lynne

Don't give up Mary. I know how you feel. I lost and then gained on induction. Take your measurements so when the scale isn't moving you can see a difference in your inches. If we stick with it and support each other we can ALL achieve our goals.

Good luck

Hiya Mary!!

I'm not freinds with the Whoosh fairy, she never visits me. But I'll keep my fingers crosses that she pays you a visit. :)

The scale gets very frustrating, and it is easier said than done, to throw it out. BUT I myself am a scale monger. I can't help it.

This week I am ONLY going up, up and up!! But I have been put on a medicine that makes me retain water and by the time I'm off I'll have a good 15-20 pounds of it. ULGH!!

Hang in there. Your onto something...it is not all about the weight loss. Just feeling healthier is a welcome attribute!!
