HALT!
Thought I’d start another thread here on addiction, my favourite topic. ;)
In 12 step programs there is the concept known as HALT. HUNGRY ANGRY LONELY TIRED These four sensations, feelings (or whatever they're called) are the enemy to sanity. Before your eyes glaze over and evil demons possess you, picking away at your will, think about HALT in relation to you. You may still become possessed. But you will be a little further along in knowing why. Practice a little bit each day at not being hungry, angry, lonely or tired. I works if you work it! Karen |

Good advice Karen! I know I'm much more apt to binge if I'm feeling down or upset about something. I will keep this in mind as I adjust to this new way of life. :) Thanks!
