yikes! you guys were not kidding about the cramps

third day of induction. Feeling good, lots of energy. I hit the gym after work, and man alive.... 14 minutes on the treadmill and my legs were in knots. I went to lift weights, and my shoulders felt like they had gone 12 rounds with Tyson.

I guess the multivitamin was not enough. I know, I know... trust the doctor and get your supplements. It's off to GNC tomorrow.

Probably one of the cheapest ways to get potassium is NuSalt :)

Tyson doesn't fight anyone anymore-he just bites them and runs away! ;)

Ok, I've never heard of this before..But nowthat you mention it, I do the tredmil for 10mins, Just as a warmup type thing because then I go and do tae bo...I wasn't getting to bad of cramps, but my legs were like tightening up and I had no energy..and my knees were a lil wack..lol is that the same thing as ur talking about?

I thought that was just from not doing it in a while, cause I have energy..um.. :daze:

Might I also recommend a 5 min leg stretch before working out or warming up, along with the recommended supplements? I ran track in highschool. We NEVER set out on a jog or run without spending 10 or 15 mins stretching our muscles out. I know it seems silly to stretch before getting on a treadmill, however if the muscles are cold and not use to it, they will tend to sieze up.

:D

well, what do I know

But I am on the fourth day now, and I guess that I would not call what happened to me cramps. Intense tightness, felt like I had pulled the muscles afterwards. And soreness in my shoulders.

I figure that it has to be the potassium and magnesium. I was on the treadmill and hit the iron last week with none such problems.

Doing fine otherwise. The hardest thing to deal with do far is not the cravings (no problem there, yet), but dealing with all my friends and family warning me gray with worry that I am killing myself by having more than one steak a week. I don't even tell them about the three eggs fried in butter I had for breakfast.

I do miss ample veggies though.
