WEIGHT GAIN in INDUCTION

i'm so frustrated because i've been mostly good throughout induction and on the scale it says i've gained 4 pounds!!!!Everyone else i know has lost 10-15 pounds.Yes i know everyone's different.But-this isn't my favorite way of eating so if it's making me GAIN, i'm planning on stopping. It's just that I thought i felt thinner and have been told by friends i look slightly smaller.
any help??
thanks

Have you measured yourself? If you were not used to eating so much protein, you may be gaining lean muscle mass! That's a good thing, and masks fat loss because muscle weighs more than fat, but takes up less space. Lean muscle also raises your metabolism 'cause muscle needs more fuel to maintain it than fat does. A lot more, in fact.

How are you fitting in your clothes? That's the true test of whether or not this is working for you! ;)

FitDay.com

I would recommend using Fitday.com. That way you can see your cals, fat, carbs and protein intake in numbers. I read also that your caloric intake should be 10-12x your goal weight. Its worth investigating. All the best.

You shouldn't be paranoid about gaining some weight... If you look bettter and feel better then you must be getting healthier.

Pounds can be deceiving when you start a diet.

Long term will be the goal.

I get frustrated at weighing myself everyday trying to figure if I lost a pound or not.

Sometimes I even didn't eat enough protein and run so much that I see I lose 2 lbs but then as I become more educated I realize im losing too much muscles..

It's all about time and sticking to the diet.

You need to ignore the scale and continue to work hard...

True we all have different metabolism and body composition but unless you have a genetic problem with weight ... you can always lose weight but just will be slower than some...

And putting muslces is not a bad thing.

Hi Jblake

Welcome! :)

What day of induction are you on? Im unclear if you are through the 14 days or somewhere else. Did you lose then regain? Whats your menu look like? Are you exercising? If so are you doing aerobic, anaerobic or both? How much water are you drinking in a day. Are you using aspartame?

If you are getting compliments that you are looking thinner , then it could very much be muscle/water weight.

BB.
