Too Little Fat?

Is it possible to consume too LITTLE fat on Atkins? I have been trying to avoid heavily-saturated fats such as cheese, cream and butter... but cannot remember if this is not recommended.

Fat consumption must be high on Atkins to help burn fat that you have in your body. Percentage of daily consumption should be 65% or higher for optimum fat burning - - consuming under this can aid to slow loss or no loss. Read Atkins' book - he explains this - - Ketosis needs fat to work.

Atkins does not shy away from saturated fats, but if you prefer to stay away from them, make sure you're getting enough mono-unsaturated fats from oils, avocados, fish, etc. The diet should be high fat. Most of us eat about 65% fat, 30% protein, and 5% carbohydrates.
