Sugar Alcohols and Fitday

Hi All..

I am trying to get acurate readings on fitday, but I cant figure it out. I subtract the SA and put the actual carbs...fitday wont accept it because it doesnt "add up right". If I include the SA it seems like I am eating a million carbs! I tried putting the SA as fiber so I could subtract it, but that didnt work. Does anyone know how to get an accurate reading?

Thank you,
~Michelle

Same thing happens to me! Help....anyone???

This actually might be cheating-but I did fudge the fiber grams til I got it to count. For example, this is a low carb bar:

Amount Per 1 serving
Calories 230
Calories from Fat 72

Total Fat 8g 12%
Monounsaturated Fat 0g
Total Carbohydrate 15g 5%
Dietary Fiber 11g 44%

Protein 25g

Thanks Paleo...so I guess it is just a matter of playing around with the numbers? :( Oh well, I was hoping it was something easier.

F/U to Water comment

Sorry I'm responding to something you said on another post here but I'm new and didn't know how else to reply to you.

You mentioned how much you hate drinking water and I'm the same way. I have found that adding Crystal Light helps enormusly. I don't mix the entire package according to the direction because I very much dislike the taste of artificial sweetener. I use about 2/3 of a package to 8 cups of water.

That seems to give the water enough taste without aftertaste. Hope this helps.

I have an easier suggestion...

just don't eat foods containing sugar alcohols.
