Permission denied to access private message

Hi,
I received an email notice that someone tried to send me a private message and my box was full. So I checked on this technical page and it said to go to my private messages and empty my inbox. However, when I click on private messages, or on the link provided in the email alert (http://forum.lowcarber.org/private.php) both times I get the vBulletin message that I do not have access to the private message page. How do I fix that?
