need help calorie distribution question
I signed up for a fitday.com account.
One section asked a question about percentage of calories as fat, protein and carbohydrate. Selecting the total carbs level is easy. My question, what percentage calories should come from fat vs protein? |
the ratio that many follow is
fat - 70% Carbs - 5% Protein - 25% Some have more fat and less carbs and protein, some have more protein less fat. Just an average. |
Depending on where you are in the plan (Atkins, that is), upwards of 65% per day of your calories will be from fats. If you're on higher calories you can be eating as much as 80% fat. Hopefully that helps! :)
