Irish Pride Low Carb Bread

Hi All,

Irish Pride has come out with a low carb bread called "Irish Pride - Carb Counting"

Multigrain bread that has 9 grams of Carbs per slice with 3 grams of fibre.

For very special occasions I might try it....but at least there is some attention to this stuff!!

Katyspice, when I read your post first I almost jumped off my seat with joy!,as bread was my fav. food anything so long as it was between 2 slices of bread. Then I remembered that bread though enjoyable was also the cause or a big part of the cause of my being so overweight in the first place. So I would be afraid that after going almost 7 months without bread and finding new was of eating food I would be MAD to risk eating this lc bread, as it might undo all my efforts. So I am going to say to myself "leave well enough alone".

if I absolutely have to have it I will eat one slice with a whole lot of egg mayo on it or lots of crispy bacon! It curbs my craving for bread! But I keep it at 1 slice a day! The bread is good though! I have had lc bread in the states (my home) and it doesn't taste any where near as good as Irish Pride Carb Counting!

i was looking on the back of the brennans weight watchers bread and carbs per slice is only 9.3 and fibre is 0.4 so net carbs is 8.9 per slice... the fibre is not as much as the low carb irish pride

Where can you get this Bread, Dunnes don't have it

Actually dunnes carries it - you have to look hard as it is usually on the bottom shelf and well hidden. The dunnes in donaghmede sc and the pavillions has it!
