Reaction to Dreamfield Pasta?

I was wondering if anyone has had a reaction to Dreamfield Pasta?
My roommate has added this to our low carb meals at night and the two times I had it, I've had bathroom issues as well as nausia. Anyone else?

I have heard its very important not to overcook it. If it was overcooked, its possible the coating that stops your body from using the carbs was damaged, and you got a really bad "carb rush". I 've never had it, so thats my best guess

Maybe you lack the bacteria in your intestines that would ordinarily help digest it? That's my guess!

I am strict with it in terms of cooking the only time I have had any problem with it was when it was over cooked by my fiance. I now cook it or she cooks it as soon as it hits the boiling water the 8:00 minute timer starts on the microwave and it is immediatley drained so as to stop the cooking process.

I found out something interesting. I'm one of the few people who can't eat sugar alcohols and dreamfield pasta has sorbital, a sugar alcohol. I ate a cup and my sugar problably went up, and I'm having the same reactions to it like I did when I ate the coconut almond bars made with the same stuff.
Next time I try a low carb product I'll make sure I read the label.
My roommate did but he was looking for splenda and didn't know that sorbital was a sugar alcohol. He's one of the fortunate who has no issue with them. Lucky him.

I had terrible stomach cramps and diarrhea when I ate it.

How much did you eat, and did you eat any fat/protein with it.

I find I get gas if I eat more than the recommended serving, and without protein or fats.

Some people just can't tolerate it, just as some people can't handle SA's in other products. You may just be one of those people.

If you do try it again, measure out the dry portion, cook it, mix it with meat, sauce or fat and try again.

As I mentioned before, I had a cup of it cooked. I had chicken with homemade alfredo sauce and mushrooms (it was the linginie type) I'm not sure of the serving size on the package but will check when I get home from work.

A serving size is 1/2 cup dry. Your body may be treating this as a giant dose of fiber and responding the same way. ;)
