starting over - again
Hello Team
* Like to know who is having good weight loss. * What does a typical meal day look like? * Anyone on prednisone meds? TIA Joe |
I am not on Prednisone, Joe. It does cause weight gain.
I don't know how old you are but I am an old woman and I don't eat as much as I used to simply because I get full faster I eat a very low carb diet mostly -20 gm and under |

I was on prednisone for 4 months once. I didn't gain weight, but it weakened my immune system while I was on it.
I've lost 60-65 pounds and have kept it off for decades. Meals? Breakfast: 18 raw almonds and 2 cups of tea sweetened with stevia Mid morning: Whey shake sweetened with stevia. Lunch: Big meal of the day. Perhaps an omelet, or a cheeseburger with a zero carb bun, or a piece of cod fish fried in unsweetened coconut flakes, or a piece of brie with a low-carb millet/flax lavash, or some cheese and flackers, or a home-made pizza on a low carb lavash, or whatever. Smaller than most people's lunches. Snack: A palm full of mixed nuts or some 85% chocolate or sometimes nothing at all. By 6PM: it's summer so some Enlightened or Rebel keto ice cream. I don't eat anything between 6PM and 7AM the next day. Simple plan: Fewer than 1800 calories, fewer than 20 carbs per day and twice as much fat as protein. Bob |
I hope to never be on Prednisone. It's commonly used, yet it's side effects seem to be common, too.
Usually, first meal is after noon as I'm not hungry until then. Fasting has value. Maintains BMR. It's an aid. A few pounds off and many more to go. Even without weight loss, just trying for good health, strong immunity. |
