Please help me get rid of the flab!!

I am going crazy!! I have the most jiggly thighs!!! I asked before about exercises to get rid of them, and was told that I am just building muscles under my fat with all of the crunches, and walking, and leg lifts...so how do I get rid of the fat that is on top of the muscle?? I can see my leg muscles and stomach muscles, but they have some jiggly fat on top!!! Help me get rid of the jiggly wiggly fat!!! Someone told me, at work, that I need to get off of the Atkins wol, and start the low fat diet to get rid of the fat, but I thought that Atkins burns the fat??? PLEASE HELP!! :help:

When you lose weight quickly, you are going to have jiggly fat. You have lost a lot of weight! You need to let your skin catch up to your fat loss. You might do best to keep your weight constant for a while, while concentrating on your workouts and strength training, before losing more.

Have you seen pictures of people who have had gastric bypass? Even though they have lost a ton of weight, they do it so quickly they are left very jiggly, and often need lower body lifts in addition to tummy tucks.

Great job on your weight loss so far!!!

I will also be waiting for an answer to this...please anyone. I was about to post something like this just this morning.

I have to admit that most people always tell me that I don;t have a lot of weight to loose, actually I don't. I'm very tall and have small bones, I was always skinny!! but last year I gained a little more than 15lb and it seems all of the weight is concentrated around my thighs. They look terrible, almost jiggly. I always exercised even when I was slim, but I wasn't when I was gaining the weight and the first thing I did was to throw myself into exercise, I have tried everything. At the moment I use my bicycle to go everywhere and I go to the gym 5 days a week, I do a combination of step aerobics, Taebo, Callanetics and lift small weights. I have lots of muscles but the fat over it!!

I LOVE my body but I was thinking if I lost that fat then I can have it back the way I like it. I can go to the swimming pool with more confidence and wear my short skirts again!! (I'm tired of these jeans!!)

Ditto ex vegan -- DO NOT GO OFF ATKINS!

Have you asked your doctor? Maybe a specialist in fitness who has helped people who've lost weight quickly since I'm sure it's not uncommon.

Part of it could be cellulite. Look up dry skin brushing on here or online. If you combine dry skin brushing in morning, massage with lotion at night along with regular workouts with weights, you can get rid of the cellulite and really firmup. I was amazed at the difference. The problem though was it was a very time consuming rutine and as soon as I stopped the masssage and dry brushing the lumps and cellulite came back.

Over time, the muscle will be replacing the fat. Give it a little time and soon that higher metabolism that you will gain from the greater amount of muscle that you have will soon eat away at that fat. You didn't put it on overnight, you can't expect it to go away overnight! Keep up the exercise and good eating and it will eventually go away.

I was born with jiggly thighs and then I gained a lot of weight and my thighs got even more jiggly. However, now I'm at my highest weight ever and I no longer have jiggly thighs. How did I get rid of them? Well, I started to do yoga and I concentrated on the standing poses and voila...I now have trim thighs even though I'm heavy.
